Kit with price/performance crossover without housing price per speaker

Aurum is a floor-standing loudspeaker developed by Ronald Waßen and Markus Schäpermeier. It contains a Visaton broadband BG 20, as was already included in Notch, CT 230 or CT 250. In the proposed design, its frequency range is extended upwards by a pressure chamber driver with a horn. The driver is a Monacor MRD-34PA, which plays into a Dayton H08RW horn. The crossover has a slope of 18 dB/octave. This results in a flat frequency response; the decay spectrum is fast, apart from minor resonances. The non-linear distortions are low, especially at low levels.

Our price/performance kit contains N25 foam and polyester wadding as insulation material. Three simple terminals are used for the wiring. The kit also contains standard coils; a H71 core coil in series with the broadband speaker and smooth electrolytic capacitors as capacitors.
