C-Note MT Bookshelf Speaker Kit Pair with Knock-Down Enclosures

The C-Note speaker kit offers much more than its price and size suggest. We have done everything to keep costs down without sacrificing quality. This compact pair of speakers offers an extremely flat frequency response with much more bass than you would expect from such a small speaker. Additionally, the C-Note's controlled dispersion delivers pinpoint imaging with a surprisingly wide soundstage.

The 5 inch (12.7 cm) woofer from Dayton Audio's designer series DSA135-8 is used for the medium and low frequencies. With an aluminum cone and a powerful motor designed for low distortion, this woofer produces powerful bass while remaining smooth in the mid-range frequencies. The high frequencies are handled by the 1 inch (2.54 cm) ND25FW-4 soft dome tweeter, also from Dayton Audio. This waveguide-loaded tweeter controls high-frequency dispersion for smooth off-axis response and natural sound. Another advantage of the waveguide design is that the voice coil can be moved further back from the baffle for near perfect timing with the woofer.

The 0.5 inch (1.27cm) thick panels of the solid MDF case are all CNC machined to tight tolerances, ensuring easy assembly. The surface-mount woofer is easy to install, while the flush-mount tweeter provides a sleek look.
