Facette AM is a two-way floorstanding loudspeaker. Facette AM is a bass reflex loudspeaker. Facette AM is a high-quality loudspeaker with chassis from Audaphon and Wavecor, in which a passive membrane guarantees deep bass for bass tuning. The loudspeaker contains the following loudspeaker chassis: - an Air-Motion-Transformer AMT 1i - a woofer WF182CU12 The loudspeaker was developed by Bernd Timmermanns. The crossover consists of: - a 2nd order high pass (12 dB / octave) for the tweeter. - a 3rd order low pass (18 dB / octave) for the woofer. The frequency response of the loudspeaker is perfectly linear. The decay spectrum (waterfall diagram) is exemplary without any disturbing resonance. The non-linear distortions are extremely low at 90 dB (1m) sound pressure: they are less than 0.3% above 500 Hz. That is absolutely outstanding.

The high-end kit contains Clarity Cap MKP capacitors. The coils are designed as Mundorf foil coils to reduce the microphonic effect (the current through the coil generates a magnetic field, which in turn sets the winding in motion. This movement induces voltages in the coil, which are added to the useful signal. The tighter the winding of the coil, the less the useful signal is distorted.)
