The Angara bass reflex floorstanding speaker, which Klang+Ton already rated as being of the highest quality in issue 5/2011, was to be improved again with Angara 2. 

They came across the Audaphon AMT 1i, which Klang+Ton magazine confirms: "nothing less than one of the best tweeters in the world in its weight class".

A Wavecor W182BD12, which has a fiberglass membrane, was chosen as the companion.

A 2nd order crossover (12 dB/octave) is used as the crossover.

In parallel to the two woofers, two suction circuits provide corrections.

The frequency response of the Angara 2 is flat up to over 20 kHz.

The decay spectrum is flawless; the non-linear distortions are consistently below 0.3% at 85 dB (1m) above 400 Hz; between 700 Hz and 8 kHz even less than 0.1%.

The loudspeaker is recommended to anyone who wants a loudspeaker that simply reproduces exactly what is fed to it as an electrical signal.
