Audimax Reference Standard is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker. Audimax Reference Standard is a bass reflex loudspeaker with chassis from Audaphon, Hobby HiFi (Made by SEAS) and Visaton. The loudspeaker contains the following chassis: - a ribbon tweeter Audaphon APR 1.0 - two midrange speakers Hobby-HiFi (Made by SEAS) 18MW12T - two woofers Visaton TIW 250 XS 8 Ohm The crossover consists of: - a 3rd order high pass (18 dB / octave) for the tweeter. - a band pass consisting of a 2nd order high pass (12 dB / octave) and a 2nd order low pass (12 dB / octave) for the mid-bass loudspeaker. - a 2nd order low pass (12 dB / octave) for the bass loudspeaker. The frequency response of the loudspeaker is perfectly linear. The decay spectrum (waterfall diagram) is exemplary without any disturbing resonance. The non-linear distortions at medium volumes (90 dB, 1m) are below 0.2% above 100 Hz.

The high-end kit is equipped with high-quality copper foil coils (cfc) or baked enamel coils in the important places to reduce the microphonic effect (the current through the coil generates a magnetic field, which in turn sets the winding in motion. This movement induces voltages in the coil, which are added to the useful signal. The tighter the winding of the coil, the less the useful signal is distorted.) The capacitors for the Audaphon APR 1.0 - where quality is particularly important - are high-quality Mundorf Mcap Supreme EVO silver gold oil with 800 V.
