CelLine is a 3-way floor-standing speaker with Accuton loudspeaker chassis. Bernd Timmermanns chose Accuton CELL-Concept loudspeaker chassis for the highs and mids.

The CelLine floor-standing speaker can be built with a round or square housing. It is designed as a bass reflex box with bass reflex openings facing forward. The woofers are connected in series so that they are not too efficient.

The crossover controls the tweeter via a 3rd order high pass, with a blocking circuit connected in series. The midrange speaker is controlled via a band pass, which consists of a first order high pass and a second order low pass. The two woofers connected in series are controlled by a second order low pass. The midrange and woofers each have an absorption circuit connected in parallel to suppress unwanted exaggerations.

The frequency response of the CelLine is quite linear and extends to over 40,000 Hz. The non-linear distortions are extremely low between 400 and 7,000 Hz (this is the most important range); the decay is exemplary and rapid.

Product details

In the high-end version suggested by Hobby Hifi, 3 EVO silver/gold/oil capacitors are used as capacitors in series with the tweeter, which we supply to you in our kit. Apart from the two electrolytic capacitors, all other capacitors are supplied as MCAP EVO oil capacitors. The two coils in the high and low pass of the tweeter and woofer are supplied as Mundorf cfc coils.
