Key to this remarkable performance is the almost weightless ribbon element: a Kapton foil cone patterned with aluminum conductors and precisely placed between two rows of neodymium magnets. The result is an instantaneous response to any transient impulse contained in the original signal.

The Dayton Audio PT2's ability to reproduce musical detail is clearly amazing. The large membrane and radiating surface of the tweeter ensure higher resilience and a significantly lower cut-off frequency. This diaphragm is thermally bonded to a cast aluminum plate that facilitates cooling and dramatically increases dynamic range. The wide horizontal dispersion of the flared waveguide projects excellent off-axis performance. At the same time, the vertical dispersion is limited, which reduces disruptive floor and ceiling reflections. Perfect for line array applications. The recommended second-order crossover crossover frequency is 3 kHz or higher, although the crossover point can be lowered to 2,500 Hz if a third-order crossover is used.
