3x CTK Practic 20 to prevent vibrations inside the trunk lid

2x CTK LineFix 7 V2 to prevent any unwanted vibrations of the upholstery, i.e. to dampen the inner side of the upholstery

2x CTK Elastic 6 V2 to prevent noise from entering the car cabin

CTK Practic 20 is a self-adhesive butyl anti-vibration material with a thickness of 2.0 mm.

The basic type of damping anti-vibration material CTK with 2.0 mm butyl thickness and 0.06 mm ALU foil offers exclusive flexibility for mounting on highly perforated car parts.

CTK LineFix 7 V2 is a water-resistant self-adhesive material designed to absorb noise of medium and high frequencies and prevent vibrations of plastic parts of the interior with a memory effect.

The material is made of viscous polyurethane foam with an adhesive layer. Thanks to the latex impregnation, LineFix has a memory effect - it restores its shape even after pressing with great pressure, even after long-term pressing. LineFix's excellent sound-absorbing properties make it the ideal material for installing soundproofing on the inside of upholstery or in places where any counter-part needs to fit precisely. CTK Elastic 6 V2 is a self-adhesive polyurethane soundproofing material for cars.

CTK Elastic V2 is a sound-absorbing material based on rubber neoprene. It is therefore excellent for sound and thermal insulation of cars. The strong adhesive layer provides a reliable attachment even on very broken car parts. Water resistant, non-flammable

Procedure for application:

1) Remove the trunk lid upholstery

2) Clean the inner plate or remove grease 

3) Dampen the inner sheet with CTK Practic 20

4) Paste the second layer over the glued anti-vibration material, this time the sound-absorbing material CTK Elastic 6

Ø) Dampen the inner side of the removed upholstery with CTK LineFix 7 V2

6) Put the upholstery back in its original position

Our TIPS:

- Do not use metal tools or anything with sharp edges to remove any upholstery. We strongly recommend using plastic tools for removing the upholstery, which do not damage the surfaces in any way, in addition, the risk of breaking the upholstery clips is minimized.

- After gluing the individual parts with butyl materials such as CTK Practic, Standard or Premium, we recommend rolling out the individual materials with a high-quality  ➡️ PRESSURE ROLLER so that the materials adhere perfectly to the surface and fulfill 100% functionality.
