The bonded winding and the reinforced PA bobbin together form a winding unit of the highest mechanical stability and quietness. Distortions and discolorations of the music signal are thus largely eliminated. In addition, the large surface of the seven strands improves the effective conductivity for higher-frequency alternating current (skin effect). The Mundorf 7 x 0.6mm strand corresponds to a round wire diameter of approx. 1.60mm; the 7x 0.45mm strand has a round wire diameter of approx. 1.2mm
