Souline's new turntable model, the tt9, builds on advanced solutions derived from the flagship tt42 and Kubrick DCX models. Differently shaped and precisely machined elements, crafted from materials such as cast acrylic, Delrin (POM plastic), and aluminum, combine to form a lightweight yet extremely rigid structure.

The turntable's solid, lightweight structure prevents the accumulation of harmful resonance energy within it. Without excessive mass where resonances could build up, they are largely dissipated by the design itself.

The dimensions and shape of the plinth and sub-plinth elements (including the hole pattern) have been optimized using the golden ratio and the Fibonacci sequence. This ensures uniform vibration damping and reduces the moment of inertia in all three planes (along all three axes) towards the center of mass.

The tt9 continues our tradition of designing compact, high-quality turntables that can be considered high-end at an affordable price, while remaining extremely easy to use. Assembly of the tt9 is intuitive and simple, requiring no special tools or advanced technical expertise.

The main bearing is an inverted design, featuring a stainless steel outer cup, a brass spindle bushing, and a stainless steel spindle, all precision-machined and fitted with a Delrin pressure plate. The sub-platter is precision-machined from Delrin (POM plastic) and rigidly connected to the main bearing. The 30 mm thick, 2.5 kg platter is precision-cast from acrylic and, together with the advanced main bearing, ensures smooth rotation and quiet, vibration-free operation.

It features a 1.0 mm deep recess on the top for the record's paper label, ensuring the record remains perfectly flat. If you're concerned about records slipping directly onto the acrylic platter, use the tt clamp included with your tt9 to firmly press the record onto the platter for excellent sound quality.

The advanced main bearing and solid aluminum tonearm base are mounted directly onto the aluminum lower base, which in turn is connected at three points (using rubber and cork washers of varying thickness and diameter) to the cast acrylic and Delrin (POM) main base to maximize performance and minimize acoustic transmission. The Delrin (POM) motor assembly is rigidly attached to the main base.

The drive system is based on the high-quality DC motor also used in our most advanced turntable models. It is electronically controlled, allowing for easy operation and precise speed adjustment for both speeds (if necessary). Changing speed and activating/deactivating functions is simple: simply flip the on/off and 33/45 RPM switches.

The turntable is supported by three adjustable Delrin (POM) cones, allowing for easy leveling and optimal coupling with the surface. The support cones are connected to the main base via rubber and cork washers of varying thickness and diameter, ensuring better control of vibration transmission.

The tt9 turntable comes with a high-quality Soulines KiVi M3 tonearm (pre-installed), which, combined with a high-quality cartridge, makes for an excellent system for playing vinyl records.
