Morel designed the Integra 624 6" driver from the ground up to push the limits of what is possible with coaxial drivers. By using a huge 2.1" voice coil on the woofer, Morel concentrically mounted the 1.1" soft dome tweeter allowing for near perfect time-alignment with amazing off axis consistency.

Morel Integra 624 Hybrid Series 6" Point Source Coaxial Full-Range

Morel's Integra 624 6" coaxial driver is unlike any other coaxial driver. By using a large voice coil on the woofer, Morel was able to mount the 1.1" Accuflex™ soft dome tweeter concentrically within the woofer cone. This results in minimal phase errors compared to conventional coaxial designs and allows the combined response to be ideal in all directions resulting from the near perfect time-alignment.

The Integra 624 features a large 28 mm Acuflex™ soft dome tweeter. Morel's innovative Acuflex™ is a specially engineered damping compound that allows for controlled accurate flexing, meaning each break-up mode is counteracted by another in the opposite direction. This action allows for the natural pure sound that has made Morel tweeters famous. The woofer uses a large 2.1" Hexatech™ aluminum voice coil to drive the low profile composite paper cone that excels in both on and off axis response.

The motor designed for the Integra 624 driver is an unconventional, innovative and highly effective Hybrid™ magnet system that uses a ferrite magnet together with a very powerful neodymium magnet. Combined they create a compact, lightweight motor system that is up to four times more powerful than conventional designs of the same size.
