For 15 years now, Rega has continued to refine its line of high-quality MC pickups. We have paved the way for the technology of weakly damped generators of minimal mass with high-strength housings made from one piece. Recently, a new level of performance has been achieved through the use of rare metal magnets. All development and an advanced manufacturing technique were brought together in the successful Apheta 2 scanner.

With the Apheta 3, a technological limit is once again approached. For several years we have further optimized the "Fine Line" stylus cut, as it is also used in the top model Aphelion and the special assembly with an installation angle of 90 degrees now allows an even more precise reproduction of details and higher musical resolution when scanning records.

The Apheta 3 system features an extremely powerful neodymium magnet and meticulously hand-wound coil on an iron support half the size of the previous model. The associated weight saving leads directly to better scanning capability.

This generator system sits in a completely redesigned anodized aluminum carrier, which is machined from one piece and is protected against damage with a computer-calculated semi-transparent cover.

This pickup is an ideal complement for the new Rega Planar 8 and Planar 10 models. It is available pre-assembled on these at a favorable combination price.
