The FiiO FP3 are planar in-ear earphones designed to deliver high-precision sound in a compact and lightweight package. They utilize a second-generation, in-house developed 14.5mm planar driver with an ultra-thin 1µm diaphragm and a proprietary double-coated titanium and aluminum shell. The 28nm manufacturing process uses ultra-thin 0.055mm traces for a rapid and controlled response.
Each earphone features 14 N52 neodymium magnets, ensuring a stable magnetic field and detailed reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum. The patented "Tesla valve" acoustic technology enhances the extension and control of low frequencies without introducing unwanted coloration. The lightweight 6.5g per unit and ergonomic design ensure comfort even during prolonged use.
The FP3s support high-resolution audio up to 384 kHz/24-bit, offer PEQ adjustment with curve sharing via the app, and feature a 4-conductor silver-plated copper cable (392 strands) for optimal signal transmission. Available in rosewood and black walnut finishes, they are Hi-Res Audio certified and designed for discerning listeners seeking high-performance planar in-ear earphones.

"Mini Wooden Bowl" Design
The FiiO FP3s feature an innovative miniaturized planar driver specifically designed for in-ear applications. Starting in 2022, FiiO has developed a new generation of planar IEMs capable of delivering high resolution, wide frequency response, and controlled bass, overcoming the size limitations of typical earphones.
After two years of research and development, the second-generation 14.5 mm planar driver, completely designed in-house, is born. The ultra-thin 1 µm diaphragm, created using proprietary double-coating technology, ensures high dynamics and rapid transient response. The exterior design is inspired by the aesthetic concept of a "mini wooden bowl," combining elegance, compactness, and ergonomic comfort.

Second-Generation 14.5 mm In-Ear Planar Driver
The FP3 features a 14.5 mm in-ear planar driver completely self-developed by FiiO, designed down to the smallest detail: the diaphragm, proprietary coatings, conductive track width, magnetic circuit, and structural attachment system.
Unlike standard drivers, this solution allows for complete customization of the acoustic system, improving vibration control and overall efficiency. The result is a wide and natural soundstage, rare in the category, with deep, articulated bass and extended highs up to 40 kHz, for detailed and immersive music reproduction.

Maximum Speed and Precision
The heart of the FiiO FP3 is an ultra-thin 1 µm planar diaphragm, one of the thinnest in its class. Made from high-performance PET, it dramatically reduces moving mass compared to traditional diaphragms. This allows for extremely fast response, improving the fidelity of microdynamics and high frequencies. Even minimal changes in thickness significantly impact performance: the change from 2 µm to 1 µm ensures greater detail, improved high-frequency extension, and greater tonal accuracy.
Patented Double-Shell Technology
The FiiO FP3 uses a patented double-sheath planar technology that combines aluminum and titanium on a single PET diaphragm. Each material contributes specific acoustic properties, optimizing frequency response and overall resolution.
• Aluminum Sheath: Lightweight and highly conductive, it improves track conductivity, reducing impedance and power requirements.
• Titanium coating: Featuring high rigidity, it increases high-frequency precision, sonic transparency, and resonance control.
This configuration ensures a balanced frequency response, greater definition, and sound quality typical of the best high-fidelity planar IEMs.

Advanced technology for superior sound
The second-generation planar driver in the FiiO FP3 requires nanometer-level manufacturing precision, unattainable with conventional diaphragm deposition processes. To achieve this, FiiO uses a 28nm process derived from semiconductor industry coating technologies.
The conductive material is deposited in a vacuum environment (6.6 × 10⁻³ Pa) at 120°C, transforming it into ionized particles that attach to an ultra-thin 1 µm membrane through electrostatic attraction. This ensures uniform thickness, maximum acoustic precision, and superior conductive track durability.
Each diaphragm is also double-deposited, creating a dual-coated membrane that exceeds industry standards and further improves sound quality and reliability.

Thin as a Hair
The conductive tracks of the FP3 planar driver are designed according to the electromagnetic force principle F = BIL, optimizing the interaction between current and magnetic field. Thanks to the 28 nm manufacturing process, each track is only 0.055 mm wide, comparable to the thickness of a human hair.
The reduction in width allows for increased track density within the magnetic field, improving the driver's efficiency. The total track length reaches 486.5 mm, increasing the diaphragm's driving force and overall sensitivity.

Balanced Magnetic Force
To combine high performance and comfort, FiiO has adopted a balanced magnetic system with 14 high-performance N52 magnets arranged on both sides of the driver (7x2 configuration). This structure creates a matrix magnetic circuit, in which dual-coated tracks are immersed in a uniform magnetic field on both sides of the diaphragm.

Patented "Tesla Valve" Acoustic Technology
The FiiO FP3 incorporates the patented F.T.B.S. "Tesla Valve" acoustic technology, previously used in the FD15. The internal cavity structure is designed with channels of precisely calculated lengths, angles, and quantities, creating airflow inspired by the Tesla valve. This solution enables deeper, powerful yet well-controlled bass with excellent definition and texture, without compromising the clarity of other frequencies.

Ultralight and Comfortable
The FiiO FP3 are planar IEMs designed to offer long-lasting comfort without sacrificing sound quality. Each earbud weighs approximately 6.5 grams, thanks to careful structural and material optimization.
