The PP/TPX-based cone harmonises perfectly with the adaptive rubber surround. The result is an exceptionally smooth mid-bass frequency response. The coaxially arranged, pre-coated fabric dome of the tweeter has a low resonant frequency and integrates with the cone driver to form a point sound source. The cone of the woofer acts as a horn load for the tweeter, and the chassis of the dome unit represents the throat of that horn.

The extremely rigid and stable injection molded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflections, flow noise and cavity resonances to a minimum.
