My first high cost speakers.

So i got myself a new car a few months ago Audi a5 8T 3.0, i was planning to go to a shop to do a audiophile type of install but when i got price quotes ( between 3k euros and 10k) and the type of equipment they would install i realized very soon i rather do it myself, so i decided to do it, when i started to shop around i was pretty much looking at Focal, but it was mainly 16,5 cm speakers and because i could fit a 20 cm i wanted to do that and then i discovered Blam, looked in to it and voila decided to take the plunge, when i got it i could not wait to install them, i did the passenger door first and to my dismay it sounded horrible, this speakers are rated 50 Hz thou i test them going lower, anyway i took it out and started to soundproof the door, i applied 2 layers of killmat on the outer panel plus one layer of closed cell foam, proceeded to apply another two layers of killmat to the inner panel and on the speaker adaptors as well, had to cut a hole on the door card because Audi engineers think it is a good idea to cover de speaker with all kinds of plastic (go figure) i am not really happy about cutting stuff but will fabricate a grill to hide and blend it all, i applied a layer of thick absorption foam to the door card itself, and i have to say what a marvelous experience every time i start a song, the bass is thunderous even thou i have got no sub yet, the mids are so pronounced and clear that it is just heaven, so i proceeded to focus on the tweeter\'s and to my dismay the plugs on the positive wires coming from the crossovers are the wrong size and i still can not believe that that passed the quality control (Blam what is going on dudes this a +1000 euro product) so i had to cut that off and crimp a right one (no good) because this is a online purchase i just cut it off and try to forget about it but it is ridiculous anyway, having said that i am verry happy with speakers overall because the sound quality is just simply amazing, i like it so much i will buy in the future the 16,5 cm version for the rear seats, and the sub also from the signature line, i listen a lot of deferent styles of music and metal being the most demanding and i have to say that the only distortion i hear are from the guitar cabinets itself as intended, it is super expensive but if you can pay for it you will not regret it, overall a great product, i would give it 5 stars if not for the connector\'s fiasco.
