The van den Hul polarity checker is a unique device, very useful for fine-tuning your audio installation thanks to its ability to minimize residual earth currents. It is also used to test voltage, phase and cable breaks on all types of electrical devices in and around the house:

Works without a battery, so it is always ready for use! Its liquid crystal display shows the voltage in relation to your body (= ground) that is present when you touch any object with your screwdriver. It measures 12V to 230V, AC and DC in 12, 36, 55, 110 and 220V indication steps and can also indicate the presence of stray electrical fields. Very sensitive and safe: its leakage current is less than 3μA. The van den Hul polarity checker comes with an instruction manual describing how the earth current minimization procedure works.

Not to be used with AC or DC voltages over 250 volts!
