CTK STANDARD - HIGH QUALITY AT A REASONABLE PRICE
CTK Standard is a modern, technologically advanced, vibration absorbing and low resonant frequency material in the form of a self-adhesive mat, made on the basis of a butyl rubber composite and specialized polymer additives. On the outside there is an embossed aluminum foil with a thickness of 100 micrometres (0.1 mm), which strengthens and mechanically protects the damping material and further improves its acoustic properties. Thanks to a specially selected butyl rubber composite, high assembly flexibility, moderate weight and better adhesive properties have been achieved (increased adhesion to the substrate increases with time), while maintaining high vibration damping at the level offered by similar materials of greater thickness and weight . CTK vibroacoustic mats from the Standard series are products dedicated to more demanding customers who value high quality, efficiency and comfort at a reasonable price. The mats are designed to effectively suppress noise, vibration and acoustic resonance of body parts and car upholstery (doors, floor, roof, trunk, engine bonnet, wheel arches, plastics, upholstery elements, etc.). They can also be used indoors to silence computer, air conditioning, electronics and household appliances housings. The product is non-toxic, odorless, waterproof, does not absorb moisture and does not decompose under the influence of weather conditions. It has anti-corrosive and sealing properties. Due to the high value of the mechanical loss factor (MLF) and moderate weight, CTK Standard damping mats are in their price range one of the most effective anti-vibration materials used to reduce the level of vibration and noise in vehicles. They work very well during works aimed at improving the car's cabin acoustics when installing and using car audio equipment, as well as during comprehensive silencing of vehicles or when renovating sound insulation, e.g. after repairs of body elements. CTK Standard is a perfectly balanced solution combining high quality and damping efficiency, moderate weight and reasonable price.

CTK vibration damping materials are non-toxic and safe to use in accordance with the requirements of the European Union (EC). These products have a positive result of laboratory tests approved in EU countries, confirming compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of December 18, 2006 - REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) .

WARNING!
Some suppliers of soundproofing mats from other brands sometimes declare non-toxic or safe use of their products only on the basis of RoHS certification. This certification does not apply to soundproofing materials, as the RoHS directive applies only to electrical and electronic products, not chemical. Such soundproofing materials may not meet legal requirements or may not guarantee safe use.

INSTALLATION
CTK Standard mats are self-adhesive, flexible and easy to apply on surfaces with a flat or complex shape. They can be installed in a wide temperature range without heating, however, the highest comfort of work is obtained at ambient temperatures above + 10ºC. The surface to be glued must be dry, clean and very well degreased. In order to maximize the use of damping properties, after sticking, the mat should be pressed firmly, e.g. with a roller (roller), so that it adheres exactly to the entire surface of the damped substrate, without creating a space with air bubbles. The self-adhesive butyl layer has self-vulcanizing properties, thanks to which after some time the material's adhesion to the substrate increases even more, forming a coherent whole.

EFFECTIVENESS OF MUFFLING
When silencing a car, the desired effect is obtained by sound insulation of its interior and, above all, by significantly reducing (damping) the amplitude of mechanical vibrations of metal and plastic elements of the car body and cabin. For this purpose, elastic and slightly elastic materials (e.g. based on rubber butyl) are applied to damped elements, in the structure of which there are large losses of mechanical energy due to internal friction. As a result, the vibration energy is absorbed by the damping material and converted into heat in it. The ability of a given material to absorb energy of mechanical vibrations depends on many factors, including its design, chemical composition, weight, thickness, etc. This determines the Mechanical Loss Factor ( MLF ), which is one of the most important parameters, which should be considered when choosing materials that reduce vibration. This factor is expressed numerically in the range of 0.00 - 1.00 for a specific frequency and temperature (the higher the MLF value, the higher the material's ability to damp vibrations). To significantly reduce noise and vibration inside the vehicle, choose materials with the highest possible mechanical loss factor. When damping car body components, the low weight of the damping material is also important, which often does not go hand-in-hand with the highest damping efficiency. Therefore, one should look for the most favorable compromise between a high value of mechanical loss factor (MLF) with low material weight and an adequate price. In the car audio industry, when damping the car doors in which the speakers will work, it is practiced to "close" the factory technological holes by sealing them with a soundproofing mat (creating a sealed speaker chamber). In these places, mats with a high MLF coefficient, moderate weight and having thicker aluminum foil ( 100 microns or more ), which provides greater rigidity and surface stability over the sealed technological holes, will work best.

HOW TO MUTE THE CAR EFFECTIVELY?
The maximum level of soundproofing of the interior of the vehicle passenger compartment can only be achieved by a complete soundproofing (damping and soundproofing and soundproofing) of all key elements of the bodywork and interior, by installing on these elements in layers (if possible and available space) three different types of most effective materials of the highest class, in which each of them has different acoustic properties, operates in a different frequency range and plays a different role. I'm:
layer 1 - highly effective anti-vibration materials that dampen vibrations and resonances of the body elements and further isolate the interior from external noise, which are high-quality mats based on butyl, aluminum and polymers with the highest possible MLF value ( eg ➡️ CTK DOMINATOR, ➡️ CTK PREMIUM cushioning mats, ➡️ CTK STANDARD Professional),
layer 2 - foam insulation - acoustic barriers with closed cell structure, which block the entry of road noise into the cabin and further thermally insulate the interior against excessive heating and rapid cooling (e.g. ➡️ CTK ELASTIC , ➡️ CTK ELASTIC F rubber foams, ➡️ CTK TEMPO FIX polyethylene foams),
layer 2/3 - soft and porous sound-absorbing materials with open and / or partially closed cell structure, which, in addition to the sound-absorbing properties, also play the role of shock-absorbing and damping spacers of the resonance of the plastic padding elements and reduce crackling and the creaking of these elements (eg ➡️ CTK SILENCE FIX, ➡️ CTK WAVE FIX sound-absorbing polyurethane foams, ➡️ CTK CAIMAT fleece-based sound-absorbing mats). To obtain the best road noise reduction effect, it is also recommended to install the ➡️ CTK BLOCK PRO acoustic membrane as the last third layer on the lower horizontal parts of the bodywork.
