    MUNDORF MCAP ZN Capacitor 0,10 to 4,70μF 

    The MCAP ZN is a tin foil capacitor. Due to the high weight of the tin foil, vibrations and thus the microphonic effect are suppressed. The improved conductivity of the metal foil ensures very low losses. The capacitors have a tolerance of only 2% and losses of an incredible 0.0002 at 1 kHz (and 0.00001 at 10 kHz). Up to 1.0 μF they have a dielectric strength of 630 Vdc, up to 2.2 μF they have a dielectric strength of 250 Vdc above 100 Vdc.

    Thanks to the latest winding technology Mundorf are able to manufacture the MCap® ZN from ultra-pure, RoHS-compliant tin foil. In the past, it was necessary to add lead in order to gain the required softness of the foil for winding the capacitors. But lead used to have a tonal influence on the music signal, too.

    Lead-free tin foil means, aside from positive environmental aspects, an improved sound characteristic. The enormous conductivity insures a lively music reproduction.

    And last but by no means least the mass inertia of the tin foil prevents oscillations this provides transparency and spatality.
