A paper cone with a unique Nextel coating ensures smooth frequency response and low distortion. High-temperature voice coil with 2" diameter and black anodized bobbin for high power handling and reduced power compression.

Heavy copper rings fitted above and below the T-shaped pole core reduce non-linear and modulation distortion and increase overload margin. A chrome-plated brass phase plug reduces compression due to temperature fluctuations in the voice coil, increasing long-term power handling and eliminating resonances in the voice coil former cavity.

Extremely stiff and strong, the injection molded metal basket with Nextel paint finish keeps critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket both above and below the spider reduce sound reflections, flow noise and cavity resonances to a minimum.
