A paper cone with a unique Nextel coating ensures smooth frequency response and low distortion. A large magnet system with a humped back plate and a very long and light CCAW voice coil enable extreme coil excursions with low distortion and excellent transient response.

Heavy copper rings mounted above and below the T-shaped pole core reduce non-linear and modulation-induced distortion and increase clipping headroom. A chrome-plated brass phase plug reduces compression due to temperature fluctuations in the voice coil, increases long-term power handling and eliminates cavity resonances within the voice coil former.

The extremely rigid and stable injection molded metal basket keeps the critical components in perfect alignment. Large windows in the basket above and below the spider reduce sound reflections, flow noise and cavity resonances to a minimum. Exceptionally smooth frequency response. Excellent choice in a 2-way system or for a powerful satellite in a Sat/Sub system.
